How do you create your portraits?

Digital portraits are created on Illustrator and Photoshop by using a variety of brushes in styles that look just as real as traditional media. 

Can you add or remove things from my portrait?

Of course! Additional reference images may be required, and additions/subtractions are subject to the request, such as an add-on object/element or a background, and possible additional charge.

Do you combine different photos to put in one artwork if I don’t have an original group photo?

In short, yes. This works best with high-quality images. I can always put together a group photo from individual images or replace faces/gestures with a better image (great if someone isn’t smiling/has their eyes closed etc.).

Do you offer previews before shipping?

Yes! You will receive an email for artwork approvals and previews prior to printing and shipping.

You will have an opportunity to request edits at that time. Please add support@lisylisyart.com to your contacts so that the email is delivered successfully to your inbox and doesn't end up in spam. 
You may also check the status of your order by emailing me at support@lisylisyart.com.

Can I have more than one person/pet in one portrait?

Yes, you may select up to three people, children, babies, and dogs in the same portrait. Select the options at the order page.

Can I have a preview of what to expect before placing an order?

As I spend hours drawing each portrait, I do not provide artwork previews before placing an order. On my Instagram page @lisylisyart, you can see examples of artwork that I have already made.

What image or picture can I use for my illustration?

Photos with high resolution and good lighting are best, however; if you don’t have a high-quality image, I can usually work with whatever you have. You may find more information in our photo guide page.

What will I receive if I choose the digital file?

You will receive a digital file, high-resolution JPG, that you can print yourself or share on social media. The sizes of the files are:

  • For the USA and Canada  
    4000 x 5000 pixels. These dimensions will fit an 8x10 inch or a 11x14 inch print. 

  • For all EU
    3535 x 5000 pixels. These dimensions will fit an A2, A3, A4 or A5 print.

 

CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES & RETURNS

Cancellations

I begin work on each order promptly after they are placed. You can request the cancellation of a drawing and you will get your money back only if I have not started with the drawing yet. If I have already started working on your order or if the drawing is already done, I cannot cancel your order, but I can refund the printing costs. To cancel an order, you must email me at support@lisylisyart.com

Can I still change the photo after placing an order?

You can change the photo you want for the drawing only if I have not started with the drawing yet. If I have already started working on your order or if the drawing is already done, you cannot ask for a different photo.

Take your time selecting the photo you want for the drawing, once the drawing is done, you can’t ask for a new drawing from a different photo for the same price. You would have to make a new order for a new drawing.

Can I request revisions in the same drawing?

You can ask for any modifications up to 3 times in the same drawing after you have received the preview in your email. Please approve or request changes within 48 hours of sending artwork preview.

What type of revisions can you accommodate?

Minor adjustments can be made (at no cost) in the following ways:

  • Color change (hair color, background and so on)
  • Fixing some error (hair strands, face/body shape, teeth, facial expressions, and so on)
What is your return policy?

We are unable to offer refunds for the following reasons due to the aesthetic aspect of the print portraits:

  • Change of mind after placing an order
  • Changing photo due to dissatisfaction with the illustration

In rare cases, your artwork gets damaged in transit, despite the careful packaging practices:

  1. Please notify me by email at support@lisylisyart.com within 3 days of receiving the damaged goods.
  2. Include photos of the damaged item, all original packaging, and any additional information you can provide.
  3. Upon receipt of the above items and information, I will be happy to send you a replacement item.

PRINTS

Do you offer printing?

Yes, printing is available for all illustrations. I work with a printing and carrier services to print your artwork on the canvas or poster and deliver it safely.

What are the dimensions of the canvas that I can purchase?

I have three sizes of canvas available, all of which are manufactured using Museum-quality standard materials. The canvas comes at a depth/thickness of 1.5".

The canvas sizes available are as follows:

  • 16"X24" (30CM X 40CM): The most adorable size for a gift or a surprise for a loved one or a friend. People like it since it's so convenient!
  • 20"X30" (40CM X 50CM): It's the ideal size for every room in your house! The best places to hang it are in the living room, dining room, and entrance hallways.
  • 30"X40" (40CM X 50CM): The more space you have, the better! This is the most popular size I have, especially for couples and families that want to enlarge the artwork so that everyone can view it.
What is the best way to mount my canvas on the wall?

Here are two methods for mounting your canvas using the hanger set:

  1. Insert the nails into your wall close together. Attach the sawtooth hanger (with its serrated edge facing downwards) to the back of your canvas at the top. Then simply rest the sawtooth hanger on the heads of the nails. This method is better suited to smaller formats.
  2. Attach the picture hooks to the back of your canvas, one at each side, with the eyelets facing each other. Thread the cord through the eyelets and tie it at the ends to make a loop. Then insert the nails into the wall at a fair distance apart from each other and rest the cord on the nails to support the frame of your canvas. This method can be used for larger formats.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

What is the expected turnaround time for my artwork?

Illustration creation: It usually takes up to 7 days

Revision request: within 48 hours of sending artwork preview.

Delivery Time (Canvas & Poster print): Production and shipping usually take 11 – 17 working days after artwork approval

Please note:

  • Weekends are not included in the above timelines, and express shipping is not offered.
  • The timeline may vary depending on the season due to the high volume of orders, but I will try to accommodate you if you need it for a specific date.
  • Delivery times are a general estimate only. Changes and additional portrait requests can of course prolong this estimate. 
  • Gift orders can be delivered straight to your family and friends.
Will you provide me with a tracking number or a link to track my package?

Yes! I recognize the importance of keeping my customers updated about their orders, so I'll send you your tracking details as soon as feasible.

Is express shipping available?

No, unfortunately I don’t offer express shipping. All orders are shipped standard.

What payment options are there?

What should I do if my order is damaged in transit?

How is my order packaged?

To ensure that your goods reach you undamaged, I only use special high-quality packaging for your artwork.

The delivery address I gave is incorrect or has changed. What should I do?

Please reach out to me by emailing support@lisylisyart.com with the correct delivery address.

Once the package has been shipped or is in route, it is no longer possible to change the mailing address so I would ask you to contact the postal service directly.
